Eurordis Summerschool 2017
Hermien Remmelink joined the Eurordis Summerschool in Barcelona 5-9 June 2017 in Barcelona One of the program's main aims is to help patients and researchers gain an understanding of the regulatory process of orphan medicinal products so that they are able to advocate at an European level. Patients are taking on ever increasing roles in advocating for medicines development, equal access to treatments across Europe and ensuring that medical information is clear, accurate and comprehensible. In order to help prepare for this role, and as part of a commitment to empower people living with a rare disease, EURORDIS launched its own Training Programme for expert patients since 2008. A new format was developed for the Summer School in 2015 that combines training for both expert patients and researchers on medicines development.
